My Vision

Welcome to Liberty Legal—your future partner for personalized and trusted legal services. While I am currently a law student and law clerk at Stone Law Office, PLLC, I am building a foundation of knowledge and experience in estate planning and probate law. My work includes assisting with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate matters under the guidance of Alec Stone, whose legacy of exceptional service will continue to inspire Liberty Legal when it officially launches.

In addition to my legal work, this site is a resource for individuals navigating their own  journeys. Whether you’re a veteran, a new parent, or someone considering a career change into law, my goal is to support you with insights, advice, and resources. I share tips for succeeding in law school, balancing family life, and exploring the legal profession, while also discussing topics relevant to small businesses and community members.

As a dad of two daughters—one in high school and the other a toddler—I understand the challenges of balancing personal responsibilities with professional aspirations. Through my experiences, I aim to provide relatable and practical guidance for those on a similar path.

Stay tuned for articles, tips, and discussions designed to help you thrive in your journey. If you have questions or topics you’d like me to explore in a blog post or podcast, use the contact form below to let me know.

Mr. Alec Stone

Attorney at Law

Born and raised in the coalfields of Pike County, Kentucky, Alec Stone grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work and community values, instilled in him by his father, a lifelong coal miner. Alec’s journey from humble beginnings to a pillar of the legal profession is a story of perseverance, service, and unwavering commitment to his community. After earning his law degree from the University of Kentucky in 1967, Alec began a career that would span more than five decades, leaving an indelible mark on Meade County and beyond. In the 1970s, Alec was elected to serve in the Kentucky House of Representatives, where his roots in Eastern Kentucky met his devotion to his new home in Meade County. During this time, Governor Wendell Ford affectionately dubbed Alec “the Mountain Man from Meade,” a nickname that tied his heritage to the people he proudly represented. Following his term in the legislature, Alec’s dedication to justice led him to serve as the Commonwealth’s Attorney from 1975 to 1986. In this role, Alec earned a reputation as a fair and resolute prosecutor, standing up for the community while always adhering to the principles of justice. His vision for equitable representation also led to the establishment of Meade County’s first public defender system in the 1970s, ensuring that everyone, regardless of means, had access to a fair defense. In his private practice, Alec became a cornerstone of the Meade County legal community. For over 50 years, he has handled an incredible variety of cases, ranging from family law to contracts, criminal defense, and personal injury. Alec’s work in personal injury cases has helped many individuals and families find justice and recover from life-altering events. Whether guiding families through delicate domestic matters, defending the accused, resolving complex contract disputes, or helping those injured by the negligence of others, Alec has always been a steady and compassionate advocate. Remarkably, Alec continues to serve and practice law today, bringing the same dedication and wisdom to every case he handles. His enduring commitment to his clients and community exemplifies his lifelong passion for justice and service. Alec Stone’s life and career embody the spirit of Kentucky—humble beginnings, steadfast service, and an enduring commitment to making his community a better place for all. From the courtroom to the conference table, Alec’s legacy is one of fairness, dedication, and an unwavering belief in the power of the law to improve lives.

Value 01.

Integrity First

At Liberty Legal, integrity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a way of life rooted in my experience as a combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient. When you’ve been tested in the crucible of combat, you learn the value of trust, accountability, and doing what’s right, even when it’s hard. Those lessons shape the foundation of our practice, ensuring that every client knows they have an advocate who values honesty and puts their needs first.
